Is a property inspection report required for a UK visa?

What if my home does not pass the statutory test?

We tell you honestly. If the property is borderline or fails Schedule 6 overcrowding under the Housing Act 1985, you hear from us before the report is finalised and can decide how to proceed.

Do you need to visit my property?

Only on the ¬£159 With-Visit tier. The ¬£99 DIY tier uses measurements and photos you supply, guided by our PDF. Both tiers produce the same signed report and UKVI accepts both formats.

Any UK visa requiring accommodation evidence: spouse, fianc√©, family, visitor, FLR(M), ILR, adult dependent relative, civil and unmarried partner, and settlement.

Is the report accepted across the UK or just Birmingham?

The signed report is accepted UK-wide by UKVI. The in-person visit is available only in Birmingham and the West Midlands (B, WV, WS, DY, CV, SO postcodes). The DIY tier is available anywhere in the UK.
